On Fantastic Friday we saw Voice retain his monarch title and won it 3 times in a row establishing him a house hold name across the Soca Industry. Whilst watching this event live via Socail Media streams i miust say it got off to a bad start with all the technology we have at our fingertips it seem that lack of funding had issues for the live stream. To the point we missed the first four contenders.
Overall you could say it was a fair result in the monarchs and i must say one of the unsung artists on the night for me was Marzville with his performance as he added extra pepper bringing on the wining specialist Denise "Saucy Wow" to complete his attempt in causing an upset on the night. I feel they need to bring back the original format of Soca monarch as the rise for Power Soca came back in more ways than one, which might give something for the organisers to think about in 2019.
