2018 and year 4 of the most anticipated cultural carnival exhibition in the UK. The event hosts a gathering of Carnival creators, artists, cultural enterprises and carnival enthusiasts exhibiting all facets of Carnival including, but not limited to, the Latin and Caribbean sectors. The event is open to the public and welcomes all!

Carnival Expo is dedicated to creating opportunities for participants and visitors alike as the event will act as a spring board for creative talents in the field of Carnival Art. As per namesake, this exhibition will present ALL forms of 'Carnival' portrayed in all regions of the world. The Expo intends to educate and promote carnivals so as to provide better understanding as well as to encourage greater participation by the art community, the business sector and the public at large. The educational information will include the history of carnivals, their evolution over the years and the cultural importance of the festivals. Carnival Expo quite naturally promises to be a visual splendor and will also feature light entertainment to create a stimulating atmosphere with enough excitement for the young and the no-so-young!

With two days of celebration of the art and culture, Carnival Expo is set to be an exhilarating and fun experience from beginning to end where it will bring all its vibes to the lives of many.

The carnival is ran by a small team of volunteers that work hard all year round to plan, organise, raise funds and run this event. We hope that you can all support us to make OUR carnival a success :)

This is an announcement from HACCT who organise Huddersfield Caribbean Carnival that there will be a carnival in 2018 CELEBRATING 70 YEARS OF WINDRUSH on:

Friday 13th July 2018- THE GLOW PARADE followed by the AFTER PARTY

Saturday 14th July 2018- THE CARNIVAL PARADE FINISHING AT THE HUDAWI CENTRE followed by D'OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY

At the Hudawi Centre there will be music, food, arts/crafts, clothing, information stalls and bar refreshment available. There will be Mas bands and artists will be performing on stage and selected sound systems will play outside until 8pm.
