Evan Hansen, the so called high school loner who's trying to find a sense of belonging in the modern environment of social media era. 

Like many students in the modern school system, a lot of pressure is forced upon them at home as well as school. Evan has been advised from his therapy to go on a self journey of discovery and to do a letter for his assignment.

The letter falls into the wrong hands and Evan find himself creating a journey that will only cause more pain in the end. In this case only the truth will set him free.
