Director Dexter Fletcher tells the story of how young Reginald Dwight changes his name to Elton John, as we're guided through his breakthrough years in the 1970's.

Taron Egerton who plays "Elton John" is charming and charismatic on screen and shows how fame like many stars we have loved and adored over the years can be turned by sex drugs and rock and roll.

Comparing this to the likes of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" still comes a decent runner up but both films are still enjoyable if you love a sing along whilst watching the bio story unfold.
