Based in France we follow the life of "Amy" played by Fathia Youssouf who's coming from very strict muslim upbringing. Like many young teens, she seeks out to blend in at school and wants to be in with the cool kids but their culture and style goes against everything her family have taught her in life at this point.

This film got a lot of back lash but it doesn't make it a bad movie but highlights many issues here such as adultification and if you don't know what that means look it up. Other aspects of being brought up in the digital era is managing our young girls and not exposing them to ever growing of sexualisation that we see on TV and films and of course social media and i felt the director Maimouna Doucoure was bold and captured this well.

Its not an easy watch and advise watching this for adults in groups so you can actually have a talk on subjects touched in this film.
