Last night was St Maarten's Soca Rumble and for those who aren't in the know its their equivalent to Soca Monarchs in other Soca orientated islands like Trinidad, St Vincent and Grenada. Like many competitions its split into two categories Groovy and Power Soca, and 11 artists qualified for the right to compete for this prestige award. Last year we saw Mighty Dow take the groovy honours while King Vers took the power honours.

For 2017 we say congratulations to Kenyo with his addictive groovy it "Who Yuh Fuh" which is sure to wake up the vibes on the Soca scene. Coming again giving more pressure than last year King Vers retained his power Monarch title with his hit single "Yap Yap".
