Sandra Bullock plays "Ruth Slater" who's coming out from prison, after server a sentence for a serious crime and is now trying to find herself in society who refuse to let her past be forgotten. Ruth battles to reunite with her child but obstacles are in her way in more ways than one. 

This movie was based on a British TV series called Unforgiven written by Sally Wainwright. I personally never watched the tv show but glad they got inspired by this as its a great story and the film is top notch.
