This is great story exploiting how the courts were biased on the bases of sex in the early 70's. Felicity Jones who plays "Ruth Bader Ginsburg" studied at the well renowned Harvard.
Martin, her husband brings a case for her to work on, which was a tax law case about a man who had to hire a nurse to look after his ageing Mother. During this time Men was not eligible for a tax deduction due to a written law that was not updated and was basically sexist to Men.
Ruth has to find a way that the current internal revenue code was discriminating. She would build a case, challenging as many laws, which in tern would be the cataylst for other past and future cases to be given the right equality, and forcing the laws to be re-written, in the eyes of Justice.
