Based in the final reigning days of the Ottoman Empire, the director Terry George focuses on a love triangle between a medical student, an established american journalist and a young sophisticated lady. As the film unfolds we see how these three get torn apart and brought close together during the first world war. It's a easy going film with not much great dialogue so you could ideally wait for the DVD on this one or worse for it to be televised on Freeview channels.
