Following up from the “Shining”, a grown up “Don Torrance” played by Ewan McGregor struggling with alcoholism remains traumatized by the sinister events that took place in Overlook Hotel. 

Don discovers that a young girl poses the similar powers he had as a child and must protect her from a cult called The True Knot are out to prey on children with powers to remain immortal. 

Director Mike Flanagan ties this fantasy horror well to the original film timeline and has iconic snapshots for old and new fans alike.
